Ellen Pompeo is an actress born on 10 November 1969, at Everett (Massachusetts), the United States. She is best known for playing the lead role, Meredith Grey, from the series Grey's Anatomy.

♥ Her Life ♥

Ellen Pompeo was born in Everett, Massachusetts, Joseph Pompeo, salesman, and Kathleen Pompeo. She is Irish and Italian descent by his grandfather, she was raised as a Catholic. Her mother died when she was four years old and her father remarried soon after.
She married on 9 November 2007 in New York with music producer Chris Ivery, and they now reside in Los Angeles. Sunday 19 April 2009, she announced publicly that she is pregnant with her first child.

Ellen Pompeo began his career as an actress in movies playing in some independent films, including Coming Soon (1999) and In the Weeds (2000).
She has truly earned a place in the film industry with his first role in a major Hollywood film, Moonlight Mile, directed by Brad Silberling in 2002. Ellen played alongside actors Susan Sarandon, Dustin Hoffman and Jake Gyllenhaal.. She received excellent reviews for his interpretation of troubled women in the film.

Among his most popular films include Stop Me If You Can (Catch Me If You Can) by Steven Spielberg (along with Leonardo DiCaprio) and Old School (alongside Luke Wilson, Vince Vaughn and Will Ferrell).
Ellen Pompeo has made numerous television appearances in various American series since 1996, for example New York, police, The Job and Friends. She is currently the star of the series Grey's Anatomy, which was founded in 2004 and is presented on the airwaves of ABC. She plays the role of Meredith Grey, an internal surgery Seattle Grace Hospital, which eventually involved her personal life to his life.

Meredith enters as internal in the first year of surgery at Seattle Grace Hospital. Meanwhile it becomes legal guardian of her own mother, Ellis Grey who is in a rest home because she suffers from Alzheimer's disease. On the eve of its entry into school, she meets Derek Sheperd in a bar and spends the night with him. Only the next day she discovered that this man is the neurosurgeon from Seattle Grace. Meredith also becomes friendly with the other internal, Cristina Yang, George O'Malley, Izzie Stevens and Alex Karev. While Meredith and Derek begin to go out together, their relationship is being undermined by the arrival of the latter's wife, Addison Montgomery.
